The Charge is a FIRST (FIRST: For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics team located in Midland, Michigan. Members of The Charge are students at the H.H. Dow High School and Midland High School. Established at the start of the 2008 Challenge season, The Charge participated along with 23 other teams in the Michigan FIRST Rookie Pilot Competition at Kettering University in March 2008 where The Charge lead the winning alliance. The Charge also participated in the West Michigan Regional FIRST Robotics Competition at Grand Valley State University and did very well, competing against established teams from throughout Michigan. The Charge is participating in the 2009 FIRST Challenge with competitions at Traverse City High School and Kettering University. FLASH! The Charge’s float is in the Midland Santa Parade — meet at Midland High School’s parking lot on Saturday, 11/22, at 8:30 am to ride and hand out candy! Web site last updated on: 11/15/08
